Located to the north-west of Birmingham, Dudley's shopping area is concentrated to a quite small area around Castle Street, Stone Street and High Street. Three shopping centres (Churchill Shopping Centre, the Trident Shopping Centre and the Fountain Arcade) house many of the usual big chain stores, although the town has suffered in recent times with shops closing and failing to be re-opened.
